BSC Certification

CSI, Inc. performs all of our Biological Safety Cabinet Certification services on-site at your facility according to the demanding requirements of NSF/ANSI 49-2004a Annex-F or to the Manufacturer's specs.

Typical testing includes:

• Downflow Velocity - to ensure that the proper amount of laminar air is being provided to your BSC.

• Inflow Velocity - to ensure that the proper amount of air is being drawn across the face of your BSC in order to protect product and operator from each other.

• Filter Integrity (Leak Scan) Testing - to ensure that the air supplied to your BSC is as particle free as intended and/or that the air being exhausted from the BSC is free from contaminates.

• Non-Viable Airborne Particle Concentration - to ensure that your BSC is meeting a level of cleanliness, provided in both ISO & FS209 classification formats.

• Site Installation Assessment Tests - to ensure that your BSC is installed in a location that will reduce the chance of cross contamination.
